They’ve got married several years ago in Indonesia but now they wanted to seal the deal for the civil registration in Holland. With a baby coming soon, it seems now is the right time to go for it. I got to photograph quick portrait session before the civil ceremony. Thank you for having me Yuli & Erwin, I hope everything goes smoothly until the baby arrives and I wish you all the happiness in the world with your little family.
Almost 4 years ago I photographed Franca’s big sister wedding. Now it’s time for herself to get married. Things don’t change in her family, still the same warmth of Dutch-Italian family, the same house with fabulous light that I love, and even still the same dog! Even the weather didn’t encourage them. I’m glad I could take part again in another wedding with this family. I wish Franca and Yorick with all of their family all the happiness in the world.
The day started wit me at Franca’s parents house in Den Haag, her mother was busy in the kitchen preparing the flower. While the rest of the family was busy preparing for themselves as well. Yorick prepared himself at his parents house which is also located in Den Haag.
At noon Yorick and his family came to Franca’s parents house. After first look and some bites for lunch we headed to Clingendael for wedding portraits. The weather stayed the same, cloudy with some showers but gladly it poured real hard when we finished the portrait session. We quickly went to Zoetermeer where they would have the ceremony and party. It was located at Hofstede Meerzigt in Zoetermeer.
After all families and friends have gathered, the ceremony could start. The wedding officiant told a touching yet funny story about how they met, what do they love from each other. It was a ceremony full of laughter and some tears were shed as well.
After cake cutting, it is time for a sketch being presented for the bride and groom. Mind you sketch at weeding be it drama or music is a must in Dutch wedding. People were having fun, the party just started, DJ was spinning his music but then it was time for us to go.
Ring pillow which was created by Yorick’s sister who is savvy in sewing because she is a professional upholstery herself.
Also made by Yorick’s sister.
Sweet table was lovingly made by Yorick’s other sister.
Despite the summer weather played trick on us, they still rocked their boho chic themed wedding. Want to know more? Find out in couple more days.
